- Users in a Funder role can use this feature.
Step 1: Log In as Funder
Log in with your BuildPay credentials. Correctly entering your log in information will bring you to the Projects screen. Much like creating a new project, starting a project can only be done by the project’s Funder. Scrooge McDuck will be acting as our Funder.
Step 2: Select a Project
Choose the project you’d like to start. For this example, we’re going to start the McDuck Mansion project.
Step 3: Select the project’s “Settings” tab
Selecting a project will bring you to the project’s Dashboard tab where you will see all of the main Project Details. If your project needs to be started, you’ll find that information under the Project Details. You’ll also see a notice marked by an exclamation (!) which states the reason you cannot start your project.
Select the project’s Settings tab to add the bank account. Your bank account will have already been added to your company’s specific office location by you and a BuildPay admin. If you are not sure you have done this, click here.
Step 4: Add/Change your project’s Bank Account
The Settings tab will show you the Project Settings. Choose the “⇆ Change” button next to “Bank Account”. A modal will appear with a title of “Change Bank Account”.
Select your account from the list by choosing the blue “Use Account” button.
~If you do not see an available account, contact us.
Step 5: View the banking information
Once you have selected an account, you will return to the Project Settings tab. You will now be able to see your banking account information displayed here. Now select the project’s Dashboard tab.
Step 6: Start your project
Now that a bank account has been added to the project, you as the Funder can select the orange “Start Project” button.
You will see confirmation that your project has been started and BuildPay will alert any users associated with your project that work can soon begin.
